Transitional Housing Provides the Support that Women in Recovery Need to Experience Transformation
Hannah House exists to shepherd and walk with women who are working to overcome addiction. This special place is a launch pad for women ready to change their lives while also providing a soft place to land if things don’t work out the first time they try. This is what transitional housing is all about.
As the women who come through our program grow and find they are ready to move on from the Hannah House, they face a terrifying reality: ‘Can I leave the community I have built? Am I ready to have my kids with me full-time? Can I afford a place of my own?’
These realizations are what have motivated us to build two additional transitional houses on our Hannah House campus.
These new buildings will give women the opportunity to have their own living space all while under guidance and with the support of the community they have built.
Transitional housing provides a safe, supportive environment where recovering women can put into practice everything they learned during their first year at the Hannah House. This is where all of the parenting skills, financial independence, and leaning deeper into Jesus start to round out.
Transitional housing is truly the catalyst for long-term recovery, giving women the confidence to thrive on their own, many for the very first time.
