Friends of CLDI,
We are grateful for all the work that has taken place this last week. By the end of next week, the first floor will be entirely framed and sheeted. Then, on the week of April 17, they will bring the crane back to set the exterior walls of the second floor! As a reminder, when complete, Tapestry Appartments will provide (6) efficiency apartments, (12) 1-bedroom apartments, and (9) 2-bedroom apartments for a total of 27 apartments, two of which will be ADA accessible!
As we approach the season of Easter, I’m filled with a sense of joy and excitement. Easter represents a time of new beginnings, where we are reminded of the incredible love and sacrifice of Jesus. It’s a time to reflect on the hope and renewal that His resurrection brings to us.
This week as I walked around my neighborhood on the South Side, I was praying Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
With this verse in mind, I prayed that our organization could be a beacon of hope and light for our neighbors during this Easter season. I pray that we can help our neighbors live into the fullness of who God made them to be and that they may experience the abundant life that comes with a relationship with Him. May we all be reminded of the incredible love and sacrifice of Jesus, and may we find renewed hope and joy in this season of Easter.
