Hello friends of CLDI!
I had an exceptional time away last week visiting some friends in Central Asia, as well as scoping out a new partnership as we will be taking our interns on an ‘international exposure trip’ this May. This was an especially great trip as I was able to travel with my 15-year-old son, as well as two dear pastor friends. It was a joy to encourage our CLDI-family now living and working in that region of the world, and I am very excited about our new friends and the great work they are doing in the area.
Here is an update on the Mosiac Senior Cottages.
- The South building is completely trimmed out, minus the base trim, but that will be installed after our new doors arrive.
- Flooring has begun to be installed and should be complete in the next week or so.
- The bathroom tile is nearly finished; it looks really exceptional!
- Next week they hope to frame out and sheet the carport, now that our steel beams and concrete are in place.
Anticipated finish date: the middle of March. With this, we do have a need and volunteer opportunity. As a way of saving a few thousand dollars, we will be pulling together a group of volunteers to do the final clean before the grand opening. Keep your eyes peeled for more information to come.
Anticipated move-in date: April 1st. It looks as though all of the apartments are already spoken for, which we are grateful for, BUT it’s also indicative of how great the need is for more quality housing.
Thanks for all you do.
