We are excited to welcome our new Hannah House Supervisor, Jessica, to our team! She has an amazing story and we are confident she will serve our Hannah House women well.

God doesn’t call the equipped, he equips those he calls.

At the age of 22 the Lord allowed me to go through the depths of addiction. In the midst of it all, I lost sight of who I truly was. I had lost my children and my freedom. Eventually, I found myself in jail facing felony drug charges, yet through it all the Lord kept speaking to me through other people saying, “Just let go, and let God.” Finally, I decided to surrender and give Him all control. I felt His presence every step of the way. After exiting jail and completing court mandated treatment, I applied to live at the Hannah House and was accepted. The Hannah House was not just a place of refuge, it was home. Staff loved me right where I was at and while living in the house I learned what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus and what it means to trust Him in ALL areas of my life. I learned not only how to love myself again but also how to love others. The Lord also taught me patience in everything. It took two and a half years of being clean before He decided to reunite me with my children.

The journey to where I am today was by no means easy. But, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Recently, the Lord directed me back to Hannah House. This time, however, it was to step into the role of supervisor. I believe He has called me to be a walking example of what will happen if you completely surrender your life to Him. I am excited and thankful for this opportunity to walk alongside and encourage the women and children of the Hannah House in their journeys to redemption.

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.

                                                                                                                        1 Thessalonians 5:18
