Give kids living on the South Side a life-changing summer

This Summer, Give the Gift of Discipleship

We’re on mission to give kids from low-income families summer adventures that foster positive relationships and opportunities to hear the gospel.

Summer time for Youth Works is less about our regular programmed activities and more about special outings that allow space for greater connection. The events are always a blast, but it’s the drive to events, the meals in between, the evening’s recounting of a day at camp, that all allow leaders and students to engage in healthy relationship building.

Thanks to your prayers and generosity, our Youth Works team has the opportunity to invest in transformational relationships and moments in which to share the good news and hope that we have in Jesus.

Jesus with kids who live on the

South Side.

The reality for many of the kids we work with:

Have been exposed to friends, neighbors, or family members battling substance abuse.

Have witnessed or experienced sexual, physical, and/or emotional trauma.

Have grown up in single-parent households or have taken responsibility for caring for siblings.

Let’s Fill These Amazing Kids’ Summers with Meaningful Adventures

Summer time for Youth Works is less about our regular programmed activities and more about special outings that allow space for greater connection. The events are always a blast, but it’s the drive to events, the meals in between, the evening’s recounting of a day at camp, that all allow leaders and students to engage in healthy relationship building.

South Park Pool

This positive, outdoor event is right in the kids’ own neighborhood and focuses on fun in the sun and outdoor time with friends.

Hope Ranch

For most of our students, riding a horse is a new experience and a big step outside of their comfort zone. Kids come home from this adventure in God’s beautiful creation with a great sense of pride and accomplishment.

Hiking Trips

Hiking into the mountains can help kids unplug and refocus. During these adventures, students encounter the beauty of God’s creation and create relationships with leaders and other students.

Young Life Camp

Summer camp creates space for students to step away from day-to-day life, learn more about the Gospel, and enjoy the outdoors. Students feel seen, loved and challenged with peers and counselors.

Disc Golf & Ice Cream

This low-pressure activity creates a welcoming space for kids who may feel anxious in large group settings. Students have the opportunity to connect with friends and mentors during a game and trip to an ice cream shop.

Mustangs Baseball Game

The Mustangs baseball game provides an opportunity for students to create fun summer memories with peers and mentors and enjoy the experience of a local baseball game.

We Can’t Make This Happen Without You!
