Dear CLDI Family and Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are excited to announce that the position for the Executive Director (ED) role at Community Leadership & Development, Inc. (CLDI) is now available here

As most of you know, after nearly 12 years of exceptional servant leadership of Community Leadership & Development, Inc. (CLDI), Eric Basye will transition out of his role as Executive Director. Over the next six months, Eric and the Board will continue to work in a spirit of unity to carry forward the God-given mission of CLDI, as we identify a new Executive Director to lead the organization into the next season.  Our mission and vision will not change and we will have the same talented staff and Board of Directors within CLDI.

Transitions

CLDI was founded over 40 years ago and has been a vehicle to share the Gospel with the residents of South Billings and beyond.  While much of the history of CLDI has been “grassroots,” Eric, along with the Board of Directors, has been on a journey over the past 12 years with an intentional focus on “stewarding” this work of the Lord.  Through our journey to become a “stewardship-focused” organization and add structure to support this movement, Eric and the Board have regularly and intentionally discussed the organization’s leadership.  Through these conversations, we have developed and ratified a clear succession plan that is now under implementation.

Over the 40+ year history of CLDI, we have been blessed to have two strong leaders that have carried the vision and directed the execution of this work that serves the South Side community.  Our current ED, Eric Basye, will be transitioning to a role with a consulting firm to leverage his experience and expertise on a broader scale to help multiply the impact of non-profits across the country.  While we love Eric and have nothing but the utmost respect for him, we as a Board of Directors are now fully engaged and intentional in the process of selecting the next leader to continue the impact of serving our Community, ultimately leading the organization in the ways of Jesus.  As a continuation of our great working relationship, Eric has agreed to assist in transitioning the institutional knowledge to the next ED.

How YOU can help

Here is where we need YOUR help: if you are interested in this position or know anyone who would be a great fit for CLDI, please along this post! We are excited to have conversations with bright, talented, Christ-centered individuals as we seek to find the right leader to steward the work of CLDI into this next season.

Finally, we would ask that you join us in prayer as we continue to steward this work the Lord has given us and that He guide our next steps.  Your continued prayerful and financial support of CLDI’s mission has an eternal impact. As a Board, we commit to careful discernment and decision-making as we move through this transition.

Kyle Young and Josh Gilligan

(President, CLDI Board of Directors // Chair, CLDI Search Committee)
